Multimedia Project
Breakdown
Planning - Moodboard
As part of our multimedia module, we were tasked with creating the audio for a multimedia video of our choice. The video had to be a minimum of four minutes long. At the beginning of the module, I was eager to get a head start as I've been interested in sound design for a very long time, and already had several ideas in mind. My original plan was to use a short horror film, but after reviewing the clips, I quickly realised that I was more excited about creating sound for animated content. So, I decided to go with a fan-made animation trailer adaptation of Zelda – Majora's Mask. My initial approach for this clip was to recreate and redesign the soundtracks from the original video game and integrate them into the trailer. I also aimed to include a mix of synths to convey the magical and otherworldly tone of the clip, alongside foley to represent the realistic, everyday sounds.
We were also tasked to create a Moodboard for all of our ideas relating to the project.
